One note on words, because it confuses buyers searching from outside the state. Flat, apartment and residential unit mean the same thing here, and you will see all three used about the same property on the same day. Local usage is "flat"; a builder's brochure will say "apartment" or "3 BHK apartment"; the sale deed and the society's own records may say "residential unit" or "dwelling unit"; and a multistorey society is called an apartment complex, a group housing project or simply a society depending on who is speaking. A 2 BHK flat in Essentia and a 2 BHK apartment in Essentia are one property. Where a real distinction exists it is with an independent house or kothi, which is a different purchase altogether, not a different word for the same one.
